September 27, 2023 - October 02, 2023 (Week 4 - 6) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 Animation Fundamental / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media Project 1A&B / Character and Environment Design LECTURES Week 4: We study lines of action to exaggerate characters' movements, particularly in dynamic stances like fighting or exercising. Additionally, we discovered how to create characters out of basic geometric forms like circles, rectangles, and triangles. We also learn about the character's facial expressions and how the background/setting might influence how the character feels.   Week 5:  In week five, we study perspective so that we may draw backgrounds and give them more complex compositions. The lesson demonstrated how to generate one- and two-point perspectives and how to accent a landscape using them. INSTRUCTIONS Project 1A | Character Design We had to design a character for this project based on the story we composed for the "Film Studies and Cinematography...

September 01, 2023 (Week 1 - 14) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 Animation Fundamental / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media Task 1 / Exercises LECTURES Week 2: This week's class was canceled since it conflicted with another module I was taking. I was able to keep up because the lecturer had recorded the session. This week, we must use the slow in and out principles to animate a ball that is bouncing. I use a video of a ball bouncing and increase the number of frames to delay the motion of the ball in the air. Fig 1.0 Boucing ball Week 3: In the third week, our professor introduced us to multiple animation fundamentals, such as pose to pose and straight forward, squash and stretch, and as well as follow through and overlapping. Then we use Opentoonz to try animating a bouncing ball using squash and stretch and also pose to pose principles.  Fig. 1.1 Pose to pose principles I start by sketching three stances, known as keys, extreme, and breakdown. After I had drawn those thre...
