EXERCISES

We were told to download After Effects on our laptops in order to animate a specific image.

After getting familiar with After Effects, we proceed to finish it and do the other exercise.

After that, we were given an image to edit and separate the layers to later animate it in after effects, and this was my final outcome.

We also got another image to edit and animate in After Effects.

INSTRUCTIONS


This task for the final project is to create a video to express ourselves, our personality, and how others or we see ourselves. We are needed to create a 1080 x 1920 px (instagram reels) using our own photos and edit them in photoshop then animate it in after effects.

Final Project | Self-titled

  • Write a biography about yourself and a statement of your work
  • Create a sketch for your artwork and create a digital poster for your work
  • Import your final poster into Adobe After Effects
  • Animate your poster in After Effects
  • Attach your video progress

I wanted to go with something a little creepy, and clownlike thing. I then proceed with the sketch.

I wanted to proceed with both of them, I first gather some pictures of myself from my phone.

I then edit them in photoshop and came up with two posters.

I like the second one, the clown thing kind of suits and describe me more so I proceed with the animation in after effects. I also added a headline to make it more full.

It was too short and I wanted to animate it a little more complex, so I took more time editing it and this is the final result.

REFLECTIONS

I find this assignment fun but confusing, It definitely forces me to learn a new application for animating which is After Effects. I also find "self-titled" fun since we will be questioning and answering it by ourselves. I also gathered some experience to work with frames and layers which will be beneficial for me in the future.
