Image
June 27, 2024 - July 11, 2024 / (Week 12 - 14) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 Motion Graphic and Compositing / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media Project 4 (Final Project) / Abstract Motion LECTURES All lectures are completed in Task 1 Exercises  Task 1 Exercises INSTRUCTIONS In this project, we are required to apply all of the lectures learned from week 1 onwards. We are assigned to create an abstract motion based on the theme of our choice. We also have to create a mood-board, storyboard, and animatic.  Research  I first start by choosing a theme of what I want to do and the song that will suit the project. After that, I proceeded with the storyboard and I compiled all of it onto slides for viewers to easily see my project proposal. Fig 1.0 Project proposal  I chose the song "I Love You So" by The Walters, released in 2014 because of the band’s strong orchestral, especially that somewhat imitates the early 18's and 19's music. Every lyric has a deep meanin...

3D Modeling / Project 3 (Character Modeling)

July 03, 2024 - July 24, 2024 / (Week 12 - 14) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 3D Modeling / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media / Taylor's University Project 3 (Final Project) / Character Modeling  LECTURES All lectures are completed in Task 1 Exercises  Task 1,2,3 and 4 Exercises INSTRUCTIONS In this project, we were required to create a 3D model of any character we wanted using all of the lectures we learned from week one onwards. As with the other exercises and projects we have already completed, we have to use some of the polygon tools and techniques. Decide on the appropriate material and roughness to endow its outlook with. Use three points of light and do the rendering. Choose Eevee or Cycle rendering for the final output. The video format is in PNG with dimensions of 1280 x 720. For this project at first, I wanted to go for human characters or modeling for the game Valorant but due to the deadline for this project, I decided to go for a simpler character. While...

3D Modeling / Project 2 (Theme Scene-based Modeling)

Image
June 19, 2024 - July 03, 2024 / (Week 10 - 12) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 3D Modeling / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media / Taylor's University Project 2 / Theme Scene-Based Modeling  LECTURES All lectures are completed in Task 1 Exercises  Task 1,2,3 and 4 Exercises INSTRUCTIONS In this project, we must apply the lectures learned from week one to create an isometric or diorama composition. The first step of our process is to find reference images or blueprints that we would like to replicate. With all of the features taught in the course, the modeling shall be created in Blender. We have to work on applying the correct colors, lighting, and finish to give a realistic texture of how it looks. Lighting and rendering will be, depending on the scene, set to either the ‘Eevee’ or ‘Cycle’ rendering engine that will provide the best look. Lastly, we will generate our resultant outcome with intended aspects as the format being PNG and dimension of 1280 x 720. The goal o...

Advanced Animation / Project 3 (Action Animation)

Image
July 8, 2024 - July 22, 2024 / (week 12 - 14) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 Advanced Animation / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media Project 3 / Action Animation LECTURES All lectures are completed in   Task 1,2 and 3 Exercises INSTRUCTIONS In this project, we are required to animate an action animation scene. Since I chose to animate an ice skating jump in the previous project, I decided to animate the character doing a jump combo. Same as the previous project, t he requirements for this project setting in Blender are 1280 x 720 pixels HD (High Definition) resolution and a frame rate of 24.  Save the animation in PNG image format so that it can be divided into several sequences, after that, edit the image sequences in the appropriate software like Adobe Premiere join all the clips, and save the final file as "Yourname_FinalProjectActionAnimation".  I first gathered a video reference, and I was drawn to this jump combo I found on YouTube. Motion Graphic and Compositing / Project 3 (Channel Identity)

Image
June 27, 2024 - July 11, 2024 / (Week 9 - 11) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 Motion Graphic and Compositing / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media Project 3 / Channel Identity LECTURES All lectures are completed in Task 1 Exercises  Task 1 Exercises INSTRUCTIONS In this project, we will have to pull together what I have learned from previous exercises and projects. Moving with the channel selected in Project 2, we will produce a channel identity motion graphic video. Design a mood board based on my idea/concept. All the while consider and incorporate suitable sound that matches the motion tempo. First of all, we will create a moldboard and storyboard, where we will develop rough concepts and test a lot of different ideas with digital tools on suitable software. The final part of the project will involve identifying and showcasing my version of the channel ident bumper in the relevant formats. Research  A brief research of the channel and mood board is written in  P...

Advanced Animation / Project 2 (Jump Animation)

Image
June 24, 2024 - July 8, 2024 / (week 10 - 12) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 Advanced Animation / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media Project 2 / Jump Animation LECTURES All lectures are completed in   Task 1,2 and 3 Exercises INSTRUCTIONS In this project, we are assigned to create a jumping animation in Blender. Start off by installing and gaining familiarity with character rigs such as Snow and Rain (which are given by the lecture). Search for video references of jumping actions to identify extreme poses: neutral, anticipation, push-up, jump, landing, overshoot, and recovery. The requirements for this project setting in Blender are 1280 x 720 pixels HD (High Definition) resolution and a frame rate of 24. To animate these poses, apply keyframing and when animating increase the exaggeration as seen in most cartoons with clear outlines. Adopt unique timing rates and slide holds for an animated feel for the site. Save the animation in PNG image format so that it ca...

3D Modeling / Project 1 (Hard Surface)

Image
June 19, 2024 - July 03, 2024 / (Week 8 - 10) Anandya Dewi Saputra / 0354651 3D Modeling / Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media / Taylor's University Project 1 / Hard Surface LECTURES All lectures are completed in Task 1 Exercises  Task 1,2,3 and 4 Exercises INSTRUCTIONS In this project, we will focus on creating a 3D model of a hard surface object from one of the following categories: Car, Gun or Arm, Automated machine, or a mechanical device. First of all, we have to look for some references or at least blueprints of the chosen object to help in modeling. Applying the Polygon methods and strategies studied, produce the model of the selected object with precision. In this case apply the right material, and textures so that the model looks as real as possible. Arrange the lamp and render through the ‘Eevee’ or ‘Cycle’ mode in Blender. The final output should be in 1280 x 720 resolution and the format should be in PNG. I began by creating a mood board to outline my vis...
