LECTURES
Week 1:
In the first week, we were briefed throughout the module on what assignments we have to do in the future, how they will be graded, and our senior's previous work. Mr. Adib then gave us warmup exercises in our tutorial class, we got to practice drawing straight lines, curves, and geometric shapes.

Week 2:
Absent with permission
This week, the class practiced drawing buildings from perspectives without any tools yet. We also practiced drawing faces and drawing something with continuous lines. We were then briefed for our first assignment which was to sketch 20 drawings with different categories, render are not necessary. We then need to submit it in "My Times" format as a PDF.
Week 3:
We learned to draw still life this week which we can also turn in for the 20 sketch assignment. Our lecturer told us to save or print a picture from "My Times" as a reference for us to use.
After showing my lecturer my progress, he told me to put some perspective on the very front left pawn and to sketch out the boxes too.
Week 4:
In our fourth week, we were introduced to several drawing equipment, especially for architectural/analytical drawing like measuring tapes, adjustable set squares, etc. During the lecture, we got an exercise on writing in analytics.

I managed to make some mistakes, for example, the letters were not touching the boxes and the letters were not consistent. We then were also briefed for our next assignment which is "Manual Orthographic Projections" and how our lecturer taught us to create the template.
INSTRUCTIONS:
ASSIGNMENT 1 / SKETCHING ASSIGNMENT
For our very first assignment, we needed to create 20 Sketches;
- Man-made objects i.e., furniture, vehicles, gadgets, etc. – 6 sketches
- Natural elements i.e., flowers, leaves, animals, etc. – 4 sketches
- Human figures or body parts – 3 sketches
- Buildings or structures i.e., offices, mosques, bridges, interior spaces, etc. – 5 sketches
- Activities involving human figures, man-made objects, and buildings/structures – 2 sketches
Rendering is not necessary but extra marks will be provided for students who do. The deadline given for this assignment will be on the fourth week (15th Oct 2024).
Fig 2.0 Assignment 1 / Sketching Assignment
For me, there are some categories that I feel like I'm strong on, and some categories that I feel like I could've improved more on. For example, I feel like I'm good at sketching still lives for the man-made object category, I am ok with natural elements and human figures, but I could've improved a lot more on buildings and the activities involving human figures with buildings/structures. I started off quite strong but lost my momentum in the few last categories, however, given the deadline, I was able to finish it before the submission date to prevent losing marks. I do love to hatch shade on the drawing, but still, I feel like there's still so much room for me to improve on.
ASSIGNMENT 2 / MANUAL ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTIONS
This assignment/project will weigh the most out of all the other projects in this module. This assignment will have 40% of the marks for the module.
Fig 3.0 Assignment 2 / Manual Ortographic Projection
This assignment took alot of time to finish, and has been one of the hardest assignment I have received so far because it's a core module which is what normally creative media student didn't take. I would say it is an eye opening module for me to try and take something that i normally wouldn't as a free elective.
ASSIGNMENT 3 / PRESENTATION DRAWING
For this assignment, we have to create a presentation drawing in A1 based of the compilation of drawings from assignment 2 and render it.

I did not add alot to the presentation drawing, I just used black white and blue to represent the sky and added some shading.
