INSTRUCTIONS
In this project, we are required to create a storytelling audio-visual. Little Red Riding Hood is my favorite childhood story, so I chose this story for my project, it also enables me to vividly imagine the visualization which is easier to plan and execute. The first thing I did was to record my own voice doing the narration so that it could accurately capture the feelings and attitude of the story. I then recorded them, and imported the audio into Adobe Audition to clean it up. I removed any breathing and lip-smacking noises, and then set the phase so the audio was perfectly in sync with the planned videos.

Once the narration was done, I started adding the appropriate sound effects to each scene such the cat's purring, the creaky rocking chair that the grandmother sits on, etc. The sound effects of these helped make the story more immersive. For this project we are required to record our own voice, but not the sound effects.

Finally, I added music to make the whole experience more emotionally appropriate. I decided to use only the xylophone for this project as it is the softest, most playful-sounding instrument, with tones reminiscent of childhood and fitting the whimsy of the story. This approach brought all the audio elements together to make it the ultimate listening experience. I then showed Mr. Razif my progress and I received feedback to use a parametric equalizer as my voice right now doesn't have a strong body.

Overall, this was fun to work on and I loved every bit of bringing this story to life. It was a creative and technical journey and was a chance for me to tell stories through audio-visual elements. Another thing I really liked was the chance to learn how to use Adobe Audition to the next level. I enjoyed that as my skills advanced and the final project combined narration, sound effects, and music together seamlessly. This experience did more than further my technical skills, it further grew my love for storytelling.
FEEDBACK
Add a parametric equalizer to give the voice recording a body.
