LECTURES

All lectures are written in Task 1 Proposal

INSTRUCTIONS

Week 6 and 7:

In this last part of the project, we need to apply our project in a small amount to see if execution is possible. After having feedback from the lecture, we ordered the photoluminescent paint and reflective tape online to later on test on the site if the material is ok to use or not. We first has to finalize a sketch of a mix between the tape and the paint from the previous 4 sketches that we created. After a consideration of time, cost-efficient, and sustainability, we decided to come up with this sketch to be the finalized design for our project.

After waiting for our material to arrive, we created the 3D mockup with the scale of 1:1500 or the Taylor's back alley that leads to the PJs roads. We created the mockup from cardboard, paper, sticks, and nylon thread.

After that I come to Taylor's to let my group member add the reflective tape and the paint and also try to apply the material on the site to see if it is suitable or not. We met at Taylor's around 8 pm since we need the environment to be dark to execute our project well. At around 8.15 pm we start to paint the mockup to apply the finalized design.

We then went to the Taylor's back alley to see if the material that we use is working well to give visibility to the pedestrians of the road, and it turns out it works very well.

we then tested both the reflective tape and the paint directly on the ground to see if they stick well or not, turns out even with a wet damp ground the reflective tape and paint holds very well and glows quite bright, reaching our goals of giving good visibility to the pedestrians. We also try to put the tape in other places like the pole that already existed to give better vision.

We then finalized all of our data from task 1 and 2 to compile all the necessary information for the presentation slides, after we're done we recorded the presentation to later on upload our final submissions.
